Why is fish oil so important? They are considered important nutrients that support and maintain good health. DHA and EPA are known in today’s scientific research as vital nutrients promoting and supporting the following:
Our cardiovascular health. DHA and EPA help maintain a healthy cardiovascular system. It also helps to lower serum triglycerides (bad cholesterol)
Eye and Brain Health. It helps maintain visual clarity and our night vision. As a vital component of our brain tissue, DHA helps support cognitive function.
Bone Health. DHA and EPA help with the development and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. They help with the absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus in our body.
Along with the above, a good source of DHA and EPA helps support and maintain a healthy immune system as well as maintain healthy skin.
My favourite brand that I use is Carlson Oil and the reason is because they are free of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCB’s and other contaminants.
